Do you have a favourite spot in the countryside?

My favourite spot is the Howardian Hills in North Yorkshire - we spent our honeymoon there (in February!) 13 years ago and go back at least once a year. I love the huge skies, the hills, the moors and the Yorkshire portions of great food!

What’s been your most memorable moment while making Countryfile? (On or off camera.)

There have been many unforgettable Countryfile moments - some of which I would rather not remember..

- filming a piece in just big knickers and wellies,

- bog snorkelling and then getting in a plane, as the cabin warmed up a smell began to waft. It took me a while to realise it was me.

- tracking mud across the grand carpet when interviewing the Secretary of State

- being wet through to the skin and then falling in a bog

But mainly with Countryfile - just laughing. It's a fantastic job, I just get to travel around with the team and meet interesting people in beautiful places.

What are you most looking forward to at BBC Countryfile Live 2017?

I'm looking forward to Countryfile Live 2017, it's a really important time for rural Britain and the debates in the National Trust Tent will reflect that. But I also want to try the kayaking and I'll be hanging out with the young farmers (just possibly in the pub) and doing some shopping..
